PACE
PACE is no longer accepting applicants.
PACE has now reached the no cost extension phase and we are ending our programming. We thank all the PACE participants, faculty who have guided us, the advisory committee, and NIH for the opportunity to test innovative solutions to promote the success of early career faculty. We will be updating the website to reflect our “Lessons Learned” and offer Best Practices”, which we are also in the process of preparing for publication.
Funded by the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Disease, the Program for Achieving Career Excellence (PACE) is specifically tailored to support early career faculty in biomedical sciences at Cornell University through a series of mentoring, professional development, and training opportunities.
Services
Grant Writing Assistance
Intensive grant writing assistance and skills development workshops to support your overall success in biomedical research. PACE workshops involve invited experts and local faculty with extensive expertise. Our grant preparation assistance involves providing guidance on the grant proposal process from concept to submission and offers one-on-one interaction with a professional scientific editor. The goal is for all of our participants to secure NIH funding.
Visiting Scholar Grants
Competitive visiting scholar grants that will provide you with funds for yourself or a member of your lab to visit an NIH-funded lab for up to two weeks, to further your expertise in support of a competitive grant proposal, or, if you are already working on NIH-mission-related research, you can expand the scope of your work into a new area.
Dynamic Mentoring Plans
Dynamic, multiple-approach mentoring plans tailored to your needs. Group and one-on-one mentoring will be designed to cultivate long-term supportive and inclusive professional networks.
Professional Development
Regular professional development opportunities will be offered by PACE or shared from outside sources to expand your skills and tools for success in biomedical research.
