About Us
PACE is no longer accepting applicants.
PACE has now reached the no cost extension phase and we are ending our programming. We thank all the PACE participants, faculty who have guided us, the advisory committee, and NIH for the opportunity to test innovative solutions to promote the success of early career faculty. We will be updating the website to reflect our “Lessons Learned” and offer Best Practices”, which we are also in the process of preparing for publication.
PACE offers innovative educational, training, and mentoring opportunities to Early Career Faculty at Cornell University, and is supported by the NIH/NIAID Research Education Program.
Features of this free program include:
- Visiting Scholar grants to develop collaborations or learn new techniques
- Grant preparation assistance
- Professional Development workshops
- A dynamic, individually tailored mentoring plan
As part of a larger effort to promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and overall success in biomedical research at Cornell, we have also created the Cornell Rising Star program. Sponsored by the same NIAID grant, this program will support the recruitment and success of underrepresented minority faculty researchers.
Cornell Rising Stars will receive:
- An opportunity to give a scientific seminar at Cornell and a practice chalk talk
- Networking opportunities with current faculty
- Early alerts of open and/or upcoming faculty searches at Cornell
- Guidance on strengthening application and interview skills
- Guidance on transitioning to a faculty position
