This is the first of a two part article about the results of a NE Dairy Business Innovation Center funded Grant

It reviews the challenges of raising an organic dairy replacement. Also the importance of getting a dairy replacement off to a good start will affect their lifetime performance.

Dairy Grazing Apprenticeship

The Dairy Grazing Apprenticeship Program began and Wisconsin, and is now nationwide. DGA begin its journey in New York fairly in 2016, and currently has over 20 Masters. There are over 200 Apprentice candidates nationwide.

Soil Health Trailer

In partnership with Cornell Cooperative Extension and the National Grazing Lands Coalition, the New York Grazing Coalition has acquired a customized Soil Health Trailer as part of a 3 year National Conservation and Innovation Grant.

Supporting the Grass-fed Milk Market with Education and Benchmarks

Grass-fed Dairy Monitoring to develop education and benchmarks so farms can successfully transition to no grain feeding systems to match increasing consumer demand for 100% grass-fed products.
