Adirondack Park Invasive Plant Program (APIPP)

 

 

 To protect the Adirondack forests, APIPP has organized a Forest Pest Scouting Program that trains community scientists in the early detection of HWA, and supports rapid response efforts to stop the spread of HWA – aiming to “stop HWA in its tracks”. 

Finger Lakes PRISM

Along with their informative field guides, the Finger Lakes PRISM has a volunteer invasive species survey program. including the Terrestrial Survey Program. Volunteers hike their local trails and record any invasive species they see, such as HWA.

St. Lawrence Eastern Lake Ontario (SLELO) PRISM

 

 

 

 

 

For early detection of HWA infestations, SLELO PRISM recommends local sites for volunteers to survey, as well as details for how to identify HWA and much more.
