Last Chance to Enter the NY Corn and Soybean Yield Contests!
The deadline for the yield contests is only 6 days away! Last day is Tuesday, AUGUST 30! The 2022 NYCSGA Yield Contest Entry Form and contest rules for both contests are available on the NY Corn and Soybean Growers Association’s website. Entry forms must be postmarked by the 30th to Brandie Waite, Genesee County CCE, 420 East Main St., Batavia, NY 14020 or scanned and emailed to Mike Stanyard (mjs88@cornell.edu). I have not received as many entries as usual so this is a great year to enter! I have seen some good-looking crops out there despite the dry conditions. Good Luck!
Cornell Red and White Winter Wheat Variety Trial 2022 Results
It won’t be long until it will be time to put the 2023 wheat crop in the ground. Below are the 2022 red and white winter wheat results from Dr. Mark Sorrells. Of the four trial sites, two are from Ithaca and the others are from Seneca and Livingston County. The past trial summaries are also available to view online.
