Usually, every 3 years, the National FARM Program revises and updates the Animal Care standards. Due to COVID impacting on-farm evaluations, Version 4.0 has been extended 18 months, and is now in effect until June 30, 2024. After that, Version 5.0 will commence. During the creation of each new version, the National FARM Program has an open comment period to allow farmers and industry representatives the chance to voice their opinion, comments, and thoughts for the existing and next version.
