Deadline to Drop Courses, Next Friday, April 25, 2014

If you plan to drop a course, you will need your advisor’s signature.  Therefore, do not wait until the last day.  Please see Nanette in 104 Upson if you need additional advice about dropping and if/how it will affect your graduation plans.

This is a reminder that NEXT FRIDAY, April 25th (4:00 PM), is the ABSOLUTE Last Day to DROP a COURSE.  If you wish to drop a course, it will be necessary to submit a completed add/drop slip and petition; a “W” will appear on your transcript next to the course. The add/drop slip must be stamped/initialed by the department offering the course you will be dropping, and the petition must be signed by your faculty advisor—therefore it is important that you give yourself enough time to procure the stamps and signature by the deadline.

REQUESTS FOR EXTENSIONS TO DROP: We are aware that there are prelims late in the term, the results of which may influence your decision to drop a course.  Please check your prelim schedule now and make plans to request an extension, if needed, NO LATER THAN April 25th at 4:00 PM.  (For complete Spring 2014 Prelim Schedule, please see: http://registrar.sas.cornell.edu/Sched/PRELS.html)

To request an extension YOU MUST contact Engineering Advising by phone (emails will not be accepted) at 607-255-7414 or by stopping by the office in 167 Olin Hall, NO LATER THAN 4:00 PM on Friday, April 25th.  Extensions to drop a class may be granted (until Friday, May 2nd, at 4:00 PM), based on individual circumstances.
