How to Win the War of PageRanks

You just spent your energy, time, and money building a website for a cause you are passionate about, but it doesn’t seem to be reaching a wider audience as you aren’t getting a lot of users. You also realize that your website isn’t showing up much in Google’s search results. That is because your website has a low PageRank in Google’s PageRank scale of 1 to 10, which uses this scale to filter out relevant data and provide the information that the user wants. I am here to show you how you can climb up the ladder of Google’s search results by optimizing your PageRank.

PageRank is a measure of a website’s worth, and it is vital in determining the order that websites show up in Google’s results. PageRank of a website is determined by the number of website’s that endorse it and by the PageRank of those sites that endorse it. In other words, your website’s PageRank is entirely based on the relationship it has with other websites. As such, in order to increase your PageRank, you have to work on your website’s relationship with other websites. In order to have a higher PageRank and ensure that your website is one of the results that show up first in a Google search, there are several steps you can take.

According to the blog by VAB media, it is generally better to have a few sites preferably a .org or a .edu website, which have a better PageRank, to link to your site than having a bunch of websites that have low or zero PageRank link to your websites. You can link with other similar websites that have a PageRank equal to greater than your own. So, the first way you can increase your PageRank is by actively seeking healthy link partnership.

Another step you can take is try and build a better website with high quality content and design. The way you present your content as well as phrase and highlight your keywords are also going to determine the number of users that visit your website, which in turn will increase your PageRank. The blog also suggests that you become an expert in the industry that your website is representing. You should hire professional content writers to understand what your user wants and how to address their problem.

And the last recommendation of the blog is to stay away from illegal shortcuts to increase your PageRank. Getting a link on your site from link farms that have a bunch of low-ranking websites might actually decrease your PageRank because they can be detected by Google and might even result in penalties that lower your PageRank.

All in all, don’t give up if your website has a low PageRank. Following the steps mentioned above have proven to raise other websites’ PageRank, and they will do the same for your website as well if implemented properly.
