The eHEROs program aims to adapt the work of our successful 6-week HEROs program into a digital format to help families learn about eating, movement, and mindful parenting.

StayWell ECE

The goal of the StayWell ECE project is to evaluate teachers’ health and wellbeing, identify potential intervention targets, and develop an intervention plan through a participatory process with ECE teachers/staff and community stakeholders.

MOMs Study

The Maternal Obesity Matters (MOMs) Study focuses on maternal self-care and aims to understand and influence parental caregivers’ health and self care behaviors, particularly as they relate to child behaviors.

Past Projects

Food Friends & Mighty Moves

Over its 19 year history, these programs have demonstrated short- and long-term changes in nutrition and physical activity behaviors in preschool-aged children. They were implemented in over 1200 classrooms, reaching over 60,000 children and families.

LEAP

The Colorado LEAP study explored the longitudinal impact of The Food Friends intervention on the eating habits, physical activity patterns and weight status of young children.

HEROs

The HEROs program created a 6-week family intervention to promote young children’s healthy eating and activity behaviors in the home environment.
