10/4/10 Update
Construction will continue in the following areas:
- Penthouse (8th floor)
- 7th floor (call number range B-CT)
- 6th floor (call numbers A, F, P-PG)
- 2nd floor corridor and surge space
- Basement tunnel entrance
- Sub basement
Highlights for the week:
- Both the 6th and 7th floors are closed. Only designated Access Services staff, who will be supervised by the contractor, will have access once a day to the floor for paging purposes. Patrons can request material to be paged either in person at the desk, via e-mail okucirc@cornell.edu or by calling 255-4245.
- Public elevator number 1 will be shut down from Monday, October 4, until Thursday afternoon, October 7.
- There will be an asbestos abatement in a portion of the basement stack area over Fall Break. Set up will begin Friday. Details regarding the time frame and the area that will be inaccessible will be available later this week.
