This night (03/16) I had so much “saudades” of my Brasil and I started to listen Brazilian music… I soon googled “Brazilian music Ithaca” and I got here! I desperately need to to hear “musica Brasileira”, and I would like to know when and where you guys play… I am so happy to see this group here in Ithaca!

So glad to hear from you! Deixa Sambar meets every Thursday night, 7-9pm, in B21 Lincoln Hall. We’d love to have you join us! The group is about 20 people, mostly playing Rio-style batucada and sambas from the 1940s-1970s in a style you might know as pagode or samba de rais. There are 4-5 Brazilians, either by birth or by family.
Please come and sit in whenever you want! No experience necessary!
