Each Monday we have an opportunity to refocus and reset our mind. If you do a quick google search on Mindfulness many websites and apps that provide insight, tips, and strategies show up in your browser for you to explore. You may even wonder which one should I spend time with a deeper dive, or which one do other users find helpful. It has been noted that many individuals who have tried the Headspace app for 10 days showed improvement in mood and fewer symptoms of depression and sadness. If you want to try out the Headspace app please click on the link at https://www.headspace.com/. They also have a special section for Covid-19 resources.

Have you though about using one of the many APPS available to help your mind settle into a practice that includes Mindfulness?

Another resource for Mindfulness can be found at https://www.destressmonday.org You can sign up to receive a weekly newsletter electronically that has simple breathing exercises, recipes and links to resources that are all related to helping your mind focus, and stay present. A great tip from their website discusses intentions and how setting the way to what you would like to accomplish can help you with your weekly reset button.

Here is a quick tip for setting weekly intentions:
1. Take long, deep breaths to get calm and centered. Notice your thoughts and feelings.
2. Let go of anything causing you stress or unhappiness by imagining it drifting away with each breath.
3. With a clear mind, set an intention for the week such as being more compassionate or confident. Refresh your intention during the week.
