Use this calculator to determine your specific grain storage costs for an entire grain facility or just one machine or task. It consists of a series of spreadsheets to record information for storage structure fixed costs, machine fixed & variable costs, activities (loading, drying, monitoring, etc), and drying fuel. That information is gathered and used in another spreadsheet to calculate storage costs. This is designed for grain stored in bins, super-sacks, 50-lb bags, or any other container. It is not necessarily formatted for small electronic devices, but most data entry may still be performed directly into a smartphone or tablet. Printable record sheets are also available to record data and enter it later using a computer.
