The advent of small and relatively inexpensive machines to plant bulbs under existing grass opens up interesting areas for research and demonstration trials. Bulb trading companies in Europe have used these machines for years to install swaths of bulbs that provide excellent large-scale color in the landscape. View a video of the machine in action.
