Feeder and bull auction. Empire Livestock, Bath

Compared to the last report, Feeder Steers sold 10.00 higher on a light test except for Number 1 Feeder Steers under 600 lbs sold 10.00 lower. Feeder Dairy Steers sold 5.00 lower on a light test. Feeder Heifers sold 5.00-10.00 higher. Feeder Bulls sold 5.00-10.00 higher on a light test. Replacement Cattle not tested. Demand was moderate. Today’s sale included the monthly Saturday Special Feeder Sale and annual Registered Bull Sale, including Registered and Grade Angus, Hereford and Murray Grey Bulls. Supply included: 81% Feeder Cattle (39% Steers, 5% Dairy Steers, 36% Heifers, 19% Bulls); 19% Replacement Cattle (9% Stock Cows, 22% Bred Cows, 6% Cow-Calf Pairs, 63% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 45%.
