Summer Pasture Walks Series

At the John Burns Farm; 8475 Morgan Creek Road; Lindley, NY (SE Steuben Co).  Walks begin promptly at 6:30 pm, so please by 6:15 to check-in and enjoy some light refreshments.  Cost is $20/person/walk, or $30 per farm.  Series discount is $45/person or $70/farm.  Cash or check only please.

Each walk’s theme is as follows:
1st walk …June 14th …Farming in nature’s image; including high-density, or “mob” grazing
2nd walk…July 12th…Grassfed beef production from calf to carcass and evaluating finished animals
3rd walk… August 9th…Grazing beef and sheep together in a mixed “flerd” to optimize pasture productivity and animal performance.

John has been profitably grazing ruminant animals for 28 years, and mob grazing for 12 years to optimize the health of the land, livestock and his family’s livelihood.  No pre-registration is required, but questions can be directed to John at: 607-368-8908.
