Hi Folks

A member of our community was injured by silo gas recently.

Drought can cause increases in nitrogen concentration in the lower stalks of corn plants. Under these conditions there can be an increase in nitrogenous silo gases produced during ensiling. Please take extra precautions this season and read this article: silo_gases.
