National Pollinator Organizations
Pollinator Pathway
Formed out of a 2016 community land stewardship project by environmentalist Donna Merrill of Wilton, CT, the Pollinator Pathway is a Northeast organization focused on encouraging local citizens and municipalities to plant native pollinator-friendly plants and avoid pesticides and chemical fertilizers. By linking these individual efforts to a larger collective organization they hope to share resources and materials that will promote the expansion of this project more efficiently, while building a sense of community. Homegrown National Park
Homegrown National Park is a grassroots call-to-action to regenerate biodiversity and ecosystem function by planting native plants and creating new ecological networks. Their initial goal is to help promote 20 million acres of native plantings across the U.S. This represents approximately ½ of the green lawns of privately-owned properties.
