Systems agronomy for global development

Prospective students

Cornell provides a tremendous learning environment for transdisciplinary and cross-scale research to address the most pressing sustainability and production challenges confronting global agricultural systems. We welcome expressions of interest in joining the lab or forming new collaborative partnerships with other universities through student engagement. For prospective students who wish to pursue graduate studies at Cornell, please recognize that there is a formal admissions process run by Cornell’s graduate school (https://gradschool.cornell.edu/admissions/). All students must formally apply through this channel. Also be aware that graduate studies are expensive and are primarily supported by the program that the student joins if they do not have independent funding. Open graduate research assistantships in our lab will be broadly advertised and posted on this website.

If you are interested in developing a proposal for an independent fellowship to support graduate studies (e.g. from NSF, USDA-AFRI, Boren, etc.) with support from our lab, please contact us and provide: 1) a basic description of your research idea, 2) the potential funder, and 3) the deadline for applying.
