The Soil Health Institute (SHI), based in North Carolina, has launched the North American Soil Health Measurement Evaluation Project.

Cornell’s flagship Comprehensive Assessment of Soil Health is one of the three frameworks being evaluated, along with specific indicators developed out of the Cornell Soil Health Lab. Cornell’s Assessment is regarded as a key tool for soil health measurement by several national initiatives, including Soil Renaissance,  the Soil Health Partnership, and the USDA-NRCS Soil Health Division.

They are now accepting applications to participate in the effort. Applications are sought from individuals and organizations engaged in long-term (minimum 10-year) agricultural field experiments in the U.S., Canada, or Mexico. Sites not selected are invited to join the GIS-Referenced Database on Long-Term Agricultural Experiments.
