Join us on 7/17 for a SoHo picnic at Taughannock Falls State Park

Greetings, SoHo! It’s been a difficult year for us, and we’re aware that many people are missing in-person events and outdoor activities, especially since we’re in an area of the world with so much natural beauty.

Now that some restrictions have been lifted, we’re delighted to announce a BBQ and picnic at Taughannock Falls State Park, where we’ll be providing burgers, hotdogs, veggie burgers and buns. Feel free to bring additional food and drinks to share! We are also dedicated to accommodating other dietary restrictions. Please contact Andrew Scheldorf (ads356@cornell.edu) with any concerns in this regard.

This photo shows the 215 foot high Taughannock Falls, which is the middle of three falls, located in the gorge of the park. It was taken from the Falls Overlook parking area just off Taughannock Park Rd. If you're hiking the North Rim Trail you'll also pass the overlook with conveniently located picnic tables and restrooms.

The picnic will be happening July 17th at 12:00 pm. If you need a ride, check your Cornell email for a sign-up sheet, and keep in mind that there is a parking fee.

We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
