SIPS leadership is pleased to welcome Cindy Twardokus in her new role as the Administrative Lead in the School of Integrative Plant Science.  Cindy brings a wealth of experience in both SIPS and at Cornell, having previously worked as Chair’s Assistant and Undergraduate Coordinator in Development Sociology and, since 2017, as Assistant to the SIPS Director.  Cindy started her new position on October 2nd. Her office is located at 240B in the 233 Emerson administrative suite.

As Administrative Lead, Cindy will supervise Section Head’s Assistants and the SIPS HR Appointments Coordinator. She oversees process improvements and workflows, and will partner with the SIPS Assistant Director, Finance Manager, and Student Services Lead to provide leadership for SIPS staff. She will also continue to provide administrative support for the SIPS Director.

The Administrative Lead is a new position in SIPS, created as part of the ongoing organizational development process for administrative staff in the School. A search is ongoing for the SIPS Student Services Lead as well as for the front desk administrative assistant in the Emerson suite and an Events Coordinator. A new Graduate Field Coordinator, refilling the position vacated by Alicia Caswell, will be starting later this month.
