The School of Integrative Plant Sciences is proud to announce that several prestigious awards have been earned by students this past academic year.
Amanda Wilson won the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for outstanding accomplishment and leadership in agriculture and life sciences.
Sydney Colon won the Arthur Thomas Memorial Award for outstanding academic achievement and commitment to study of ornamental horticulture.
Bea Mace and Zac Mcpherson received the Ring Memorial Award for obtaining the highest GPA among graduating plant science majors.
Griffin Erich was named the Outstanding Horticulture Student at Cornell University by the American Society for Horticultural Science.
Travis Cox won the Schenkel Award for outstanding accomplishments in horticulture and plant science.
Hannah Tolz won the Kenneth Post Award for academic accomplishment, character, leadership and participation in university activities.
Michael Carni and Victoria Mock won Park Nobel Awards for outstanding accomplishments in plant biology.
Kathryn (Kate) Chesebrough won a Dreer Award to support international travel in support of her graduate program. Kate is a second year Masters of Landscape Architecture graduate student who will be traveling to Nairobi, Kenya, in association with the Centre for International Forestry and Agroforestry Research, to study urban forest establishment for the mitigation of climate change. Kate will return to Cornell to present a seminar after her experience has been completed.
Coby Chock won a Dreer Award to travel to study tropical viticulture in Thailand and Brazil. Coby is a Masters of Professional Studies student in the Field of Integrative Plant Science and will also give a seminar after his experience has been completed.
