Chemical Inventory Reminder. When picking up chemicals for your lab be sure to fill out an inventory sheet and stick a bar code on the new inventory (blank sheets and bar codes can be found in the Plant Science and Emerson package rooms). When disposing of a chemical container remove the bar code and place on the sheet (also in the package rooms). Contact Magdalen (ML16) with questions. Read more

COVID update – visitors to campus:

Cornell now requires visitors to present proof of vaccination for COVID-19 or proof of a negative test result taken within a certain period of time before the visit. Only people who have been trained in the documentation review process can provide this check. Please contact Tami Payne or Leslie Larsen if you have questions, or Lorraine Barry if in Geneva

  • This applies to guests/visitors who do not have a Cornell appointment
  • Guests will need to be informed prior to their visit, to ensure that they have the necessary documentation
  • Verification is visual and records cannot be collected or stored electronically – ideally this should be done over zoom prior to the visit

Congratulations to the following people who were recognized with a SIPS Kudos in the last month! Thanks for your effort and passion in support of SIPS.

  • Going Above and Beyond: Bill Miller & Kendra Hutchins, Greg Smith
  • Strong Team Spirit: Sandy Harrington, Jenn Thomas-Murphy, Josh Balles & Karin Jantz
  • Building Mastery and Skill: Sandy Harrington

PLEASE remember to recognize people in our SIPS community that have gone out of their way to enhance our School. All you have to do is complete the brief form here.

Take care,

Chris
