Undergrads recognized for academic excellence

Two graduating seniors have been selected for the CALS Academic Excellence Award for the Plant Sciences.

Isabelle Amlicke

Isabelle Amlicke ’21 concentrated in Sustainable Plant Production with a focus on Controlled Environment Agriculture and sustainable agriculture. She has also been active with Hortus Forum (Cornell’s undergraduate horticulture club), Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity, and the Cornell Sustainability Consultants (multi-disciplinary student group working to improve sustainability in local organizations).

Isabelle is also receiving the Ring Memorial Award and was selected as a  Merrill Presidential Scholar. After graduation, she will be working as an assistant grower at Little Leaf Farms, a pioneering ten-acre greenhouse salad green production facility in Devens, Massachusetts.

Isabelle Amlicke Jessica Lee ’21 concentrated in Plants and Human Health and minored in Infectious Disease. She is planning to attend medical school. She is also receiving the Ring Memorial Award.

Jessica and Isabelle are among the Class of ’21 Agricultural Sciences, Interdisciplinary Studies, and Plant Sciences majors whose accomplishments will be celebrated by the School of Integrative Plant Science in a virtual Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 28, 2021, 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. EDT.
