  • Sections make list of top needs/priorities or emerging areas they see in the next 5 years

November

  • Section lists are compiled and shared widely in SIPS November 1, 2019
  • Areas of common interest identified (examples: climate change, controlled environment agriculture)

January

  • January 6, 2020
  • Section chairs submit position descriptions to director
  • Director compiles and forwards to FRC and section chairs

FRC MEMBERS

  • Meet January 17, 2020
  • Discuss position descriptions including:
  • Research, teaching and extension needs
  • Connections to others in SIPS and across CU
  • Additional important factors (retirements, etc.)
  • Provide feedback to sections
  • Sections may provide insight into need for a position

March

  • Chairs take feedback on position descriptions to sections
  • Sections modify/revise
  • Changes sent to FRC by March 9, 2020

FRC MEMBERS

  • Meet March 23, 2020
  • Discuss
  • Rank
  • Relay FRC deliberations and director’s decisions to sections
  • Sections complete final modifications

April

  • First week of April
  • Finalize position descriptions
  • Director forwards to Dean’s office
