Art of SIPS Working Group: Join us!

First meeting of newly formed Art of SIPS Working Group:

Goals include affirming how creativity drives our work and enriches our lives as students, staff and faculty, finding places that need art and art that needs places to enliven our surroundings, and sponsoring arts-based activities. Space at the first meeting is limited. If you’d like to attend (and didn’t complete the earlier Doodle poll), email artofcornellsips@cornell.edu for details and to be added to mailing list for future activities. If there’s interest, we will also make the meeting available by Zoom. Email for details.

Marcia Eames-Sheavly, Kirsten Kurtz and Craig Cramer along with other members of the SIPS community are forming an informal art committee. Goals include affirming how creativity drives our work and enriches our lives as SIPS students, staff and faculty, finding places that need art and art that needs places to enliven our surroundings, and sponsoring arts-based activities.

The committee has launched an Instagram account to start highlighting how we find the art in our science: @artofcornellsips  (https://www.instagram.com/artofcornellsips)

Are you interested in the synergies between plant science and the arts? Email: artofcornellsips@cornell.edu and we’ll let you know about our next meeting and keep you informed of how you can get involved.
