Discovery that Connects

Science-based innovation for a changing world

Congratulations graduates!

On Sunday May 29th, Cornell degrees were awarded to undergraduate Plant Science majors and students in the five graduate fields associated with the School of Integrative Plant Science. Fourteen students were awarded Bachelors of Science in Plant Science. Eighteen MS or PhD degrees were awarded in Horticulture, Plant Biology, Plant Breeding, Plant Pathology and Plant-Microbe Biology, and Soil and Crop Sciences.

Following Commencement in Schoellkopf Stadium, an event marked by dramatic Ithaca weather, a special ceremony was held in 233 Plant Science, featuring personal recognition of graduates by Section Chairs and Marvin Pritts, Director of Undergraduate Studies in Plant Sciences.  Volunteers in SIPS inaugurated a new tradition of making commencement boutonnières for graduates, evident in some of the photos shown here.

Congratulations to all graduates and best wishes as you embark on diverse new directions!
