New York State schools and schools in many other states follow pesticide restrictions designed to keep students, teachers/staff and the environment safer. Pesticide reduction in schools is dependent on the application of Integrated Pest Management. Integrated Pest Management is dependent upon knowledge.

2025 New York State Invasive Species Expo

This is a unique conference focusing on invasive species, and will combine classic presentations and creative use of outdoor space to appeal to a wide range of attendees. The Expo will be hosted within the unique, historic architecture of beautiful Saratoga Spa State Park and will be open to the public with no cost for general attendance. School professionals, including administrators, facilities managers, nurses, and teachers are invited to join us this November in historic Kingston, New York! This year’s theme is Indoor Air Quality Matters: Engaging Schools in a Dynamic Landscape. This free conference provides a forum for NYS school personnel to learn practical solutions related to school environmental health from experts. Learn about the different factors that influence indoor air quality, see how schools across the state have improved their indoor air, and so much more! Get ready to engage and connect with others who share your commitment to student and staff well-being. Breakfast and lunch will be provided at no cost to attendees. What’s Bugging You? Webinars

First Friday of each month, 12 PM – 12:30 PM, virtual

Experts share practical information and answer questions on using integrated pest management (IPM) to avoid pest problems and promote a healthy environment where you live, work, learn and play. We’ll end with an IPM Minute, and cover a specific action you can take in the next few days to help you avoid pest problems.
