The New York State School Environmental Health Program is a collaborative effort between the NYS Department of Health and over 20 NYS agencies and non-governmental organizations including Cornell IPM. The program is voluntary and provides information on policies and best practices, free resources with practical steps that are low or no-cost, and free technical assistance.

The New York State School Environmental Health Program has been hosting a bi-monthly webinar series (pdfs of previous webinars can be found here – scroll down to Webinars and Presentations.) On Sep. 18th, they will be focusing on Turf Management and Field Safety. Join Cornell Turf Team’s Carl Schimenti, Cornell University Urban Environmental Scientist as he helps schools explore the health, environmental, and safety implications and pros and cons of synthetic verses natural turf.
