HIDDEN FIGURES: A MOVIE WITH A VERY EMPOWERING MESSAGE

Hidden figures was so great! Taraji P hansen and all the other women in the movie played their roles so well. It’s a movie which sheds light on the issues of racism and sexism in america. The message really resonated with me because it’s something I relate to as a black female and immigrant in America. I loved how the three women broke boundaries and accomplished what had not been accomplished before. I loved that they had to fight to get what they wanted. It’s a movie that teaches about standing up for oneself and not caring about what other people think. I loved it!

  1. I also enjoyed the movie Hidden Figures. It is really inspiring and refreshing to see Black women pursuing STEM and overcoming systemic barriers and overt racism!

  2. The movie Hidden Figures was brilliant! I absolutely agree. At times, when I am down, I look up to people like Taraji who has been through so much but is still able to pick herself back up and be so successful. It is women like her who are changing the industry, and I’m all for it! Excited to the new changes she brings, and hope she continues to empower and inspire women and others all around her.

  3. In high school I organized my whole school to go see Hidden Figures. I was absolutely obsessed with it from the jump, especially with the trailers. The movie was made brilliantly and really showed the issues facing women especially WOC in STEM fields.
