Initially, I thought this event would have a variety of reptiles. So I was expecting to see different kinds of lizards. To say that I was surprised when I first walked into the Rose Common Room might be a bit of an understatement. There were only snakes and my first instinct was to leave the room. But I decided to give them a chance. (Although, apparently, someone else didn’t because I saw him running out and screaming.) The snakes were all so gentle and I didn’t feel like I was in any danger at all. I learned that snakes feel really smooth and soft. The people from the Herpetological Society were all really nice, answered all of our questions, and made sure we were feeling comfortable. I really enjoyed this event because it’s something that’s really out of my comfort zone and didn’t expect that I would enjoy it so much.
