The Conniving, Deceiving Mr. Ripley

Guilt written across his face,

Yet hidden so well.

He buried the key,

and set his own mind in flames.

Demons ravaging within the confines,

One lie after another,

Chasing a life that did not belong to him.

Poor Conniving, Deceiving

Mr. Ripley

Little did he know what he would become

A Monster, A Murderer.

Have mercy upon those who cross his path,

For he is lost and gone.

  1. This is very well written! Wish I was creative enough write poems like this.

Your poem has encapsulated the essence of the movie perfectly!

  2. Love the poem its giving me early Rihanna vibes.
Anyways I do not agree with you overall. Tom Ripley was just a child of circumstance. He only killed in defense. He is obviously just trying to live his best life despite the constant abuse from the bourgeois.
