This is the first election I was able to vote in, and I was very excited to see what the outcome would be. Having been to the Rose Cafe talks by Glen Altshuler, I was closely watching the races, and using the tricks he had told us about to predict the outcome of the election. I am from Texas. And in Texas there was an extremely competitive race for Senator taking place against Ted Cruz and Beto O’Rourke. The night taught me how important it is for everybody to vote. Voting is the only way that our democracy is going to work. Voting is the way to have a say in our country. Overall it was an extremely fun night filled with snacks, political talk, and some prelim studying .
