The Email Etiquette seminar was filled with tips and tricks on how to approach a professional email when addressing professors or potential employers. The series was extremely relevant and beneficial as many of us are currently in the recruiting process for summer internships.
The series touched on many common “don’ts” by incorporating example email visuals. However, what I found most helpful where the “dos” that the presenters suggested. They helped us learn the proper way to approach professionals and to make sure our emails had substance by conducting research. It was also great to hear from two presenters who were both experienced in the sending and receiving of professional emails so that they could provide both perspectives.
The tips I learned in the Email Etiquette Seminar Series will be extremely beneficial throughout my career as communication is key in both recruiting for and working in every profession.
I believe that these types of professional seminars are extremely helpful for our development as professionals. I hope for Rose House to host more of these events a couple times a week, not just on a weekly basis.
