Cornell According to Sound – Available on demand!

It is easy to reflect on our beautiful campus through its wondrous sights and breathtaking views. But, have you ever delved deep into the lush sounds of Cornell? Cornell According to Sound is a unique experience that dissects and reconfigures the common sounds we all have encountered across Cornell’s campus and Ithaca. Sound producers and artists-in-residence Chris Hoff ’02 and Sam Harnett collected soundscapes from students chatting in the classroom to the Chimes, past the brakes of the TCAT, and over the roar of Ithaca Falls. This 1 hour-long immersive live sound experience captures hands typing in an Oceanography lecture, professors speaking conversational Latin, and even fencing swords clashing in practice combat.
