Beginning in Fall 2019, the Cornell Raptor Program is spearheading an ongoing public education program in conjunction with the local 4-H group. These public programs occur on the third Saturday of every month. Each program has a special focus on a certain topic in raptor husbandry, with emphasis on different groups of raptor species (such as falcons, hawks, and owls). The first half hour is free and open to the public, while the second half hour is focused on long-term learning with a group of 4-H students. The 4-H program is open to students aged 8 – 18 years, with an focus on kids 10 – 14 years. If your student is interested in participating in the raptor 4-H program, please contact Dr. Huson at hjh3@cornell.edu and stay posted for our Facebook page for event updates.
