Book Talk by Frank Rhodes – today at Mann

The Cornell University Library’s Chats in the Stacks program this afternoon features geologist and President Emeritus of Cornell University, Dr. Frank Rhodes, as he discusses his latest book Earth: A Tenant’s Manual. Per the event calendar:

Dr. Rhodes who will discuss how new resources, new priorities and policies, and most of all, new knowledge, can lead us to a sustainable future. Dr. Rhodes has published numerous works on geology and education including “The Creation of the Future: The Role of the American University” and “The Evolution of Life, and Language of the Earth.” He holds the Bigsby Medal of the Geological Society, the Ian Campbell Medal of the American Geological Institute, and the Clark-Kerr Medal of the University of California-Berkeley, and more than thirty other honorary degrees.

Following the talk, Dr. Rhodes will lead a question and answer session. Light refreshments will be available throughout the event and a book signing will follow. Books will be available for purchase. The “Chats in the Stacks” book talk is funded by the Mary A. Morrison Public Education Fund at Mann Library.
