Renovations at the Engineering Library

Welcome back to campus from your Engineering, Math and Physical Sciences libraries!  Here’s hoping that your semester is off to a smooth start.  Allow us to give you a quick overview of some changes we have in store for you.

First, are you still wondering how to go about accessing library material?  Here is some general help on getting started with the Cornell libraries.  This is a fantastic overview of all library resources.  There is even a video reminding you not to be shy and ask a librarian if you need any help.

While our engineering and physical sciences libraries are now virtual, ACCEL in Carpenter Hall is still open and operating 24/7.  You can access the building at any hour with your Cornell ID.  CIT personnel will be on site or available by emailing them if you need support or technical help.

The Engineering Library is transitioning to a virtual model!

Do you recognize the space in the photo?  That is where the circulation desk used to be in ACCEL.  Currently, the space is under construction to create more study spaces.  We will be adding about a dozen tables, 50 chairs and two new group study spaces, along with extra computer stations and some comfortable couches.

Remember that if you need any help, ask our engineering, math and physical sciences librarians for help.  They will still be located on site in Carpenter and Clark for in person consultation.

Best of luck this semester!
