SciFinder seats increased to 11 total for Cornell:

• Up to 8 users at a time can search the client version
• Up to 3 users at a time can search the web version

This increase in seats should accommodate the steady high use of the client version and the growing use of the new web version of SciFinder, the graphical search interface for Chemical Abstracts and Medline. Please note that there may still be times when all seats are in use for one or both versions, especially during business hours (M-F 9am-5pm) when 80% of the searching takes place. If you get a busy signal: try the other version, try again in a few minutes or try later at a less busy time of day. Both versions can be used off campus, see the link below for information on setting up the VPN for the client version.

The web version of SciFinder will be upgraded with additional searching options in early November, watch for an announcement. More information about downloading the client or registering for the web version at:
