Title: Research Fellow
Department: Pathology at Massachusetts General Hospital

Dr. James Allen researches how pediatric cancers, such as T-cell lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL), co-opt genetic pathways to advance the disease and resist therapy. Dr. Allen completed his PhD in Molecular Genetics and Genomics at Washington University School of Medicine and is currently a research fellow in Dr. David Langenau’s lab at Massachusetts General Hospital. His current work is focused on identifying collaborating oncogenes and genetic synergies capable of initiating T-ALL. In the future, Dr. Allen’s work will continue to investigate molecular mechanisms that drive disease onset, progression, and relapse in pediatric leukemias using innovative pre-clinical zebrafish T-ALL models.
