The Olin Library Terrace stairs will be closed temporarily on 6/27 for masonry repairs related to the project. Work will occur on the short walls along the stairs and on the fascia stone along the edges of the roof on the Arts Quad side. Masonry cutting will be audible at times near these areas.
The Uris main entrance will be closed to pedestrians for a few hours this afternoon while the design team does investigative work with a lift on the roof above. The sidewalk between Stimson Hall and Olin Library will be partially closed on 9/14 at 7am to remove a damaged guardrail on Olin Library Terrace. Estimated time for project – 4 hours. Exit doors from Olin Library (emergency only) and Stimson Hall will not be blocked.
The stairs to the Olin Library Terrace will be blocked from the top and bottom for work on the illuminated handrail. Estimated time for project – 2 weeks.
