While Health Care and Social Assistance has more sub-$15/hour workers than any other industry in absolute terms, the relative percentage of low-wage workers from Health Care and Social Assistance is roughly proportional to the size of the industry in Buffalo. The Accommodation and Food Services, Retail Trade, and Administrative and support and waste management services industries are meaningfully over-represented in the low-wage workforce.
