Good afternoon!

To my MAE juniors: it is time for a graduation audit meeting! This is required. Let’s make sure you are on track and verify your completed requirements so far. You can make a half an hour long appointment on my calendar here. Please be sure to include your NetID. Any time not blocked off by blue/yellow blocks is fair game. All meetings will be conducted over zoom, I send a link roughly 10 minutes before the appointment. Meetings can also be held over the summer but don’t wait!

To my MAE seniors: All 3 required “quizzes” are now live on the ME Senior Design Canvas page. Please complete them at your convenience. The first two quizzes are very short- maybe 5 minutes of your time. The final quiz does not have to be completed until you have submitted your final report to your senior design faculty advisor. MAE will have an online graduation ceremony, more information will be coming very soon. Please don’t forget to get your advisor approved electives officially approved, if you have not already sent me an email!

For MAE December 2021 seniors who would like to attend the May 2021 in person university commencement, please see the announcement from the Commencement Office below:

Due to COVID health regulations we have recently determined the following for Dec. ’21 grads to attend an early Commencement.

1. They can only attend if they are in Ithaca now and in Daily Check and testing program. They will need to follow testing plans during Commencement week.
2. They’ll need to show that they are compliant with negative testing within 72 hours, of attending Commencement ceremonies, or show Fully vaccinated records of 14 days after receiving both shots or the single J&J shot.
3. Wearing the academic regalia is required to attend Commencement ceremonies.
4. Students must order Cap & Gown NOW to be shipped directly to them as we will not have on campus distribution,
5. Their name will NOT be in the program at the stadium, it will be in next year’s program.
6. They will NOT receive automatic communications so will need to refer to the Commencement website for information.
7. They must wear a mask at all events on campus and in the stadium.
