Downy mildew on peas

This is a minor disease.  It occurs rarely in New York and mostly in processing pea crops in western NY.   Downy mildew occurs occasionally in NJ.  Diagnosticians in New England who were contacted in 2022 responded they had no records or recollection of seeing.

Photographs below are of the few affected leaves observed in a garden on Long Island near the end of the harvest period on 24 June 2022, which was the first known occurrence on Long Island since 1988.  Symptoms are typical of several other downy mildews: yellow angular spots delineated by veins and fuzzy pathogen growth on the underside. There was no further development of downy mildew in the planting, perhaps due to conditions being not favorable or powdery mildew being dominant and becoming severe.
