Global Public Voices

The pressing challenges of the twenty-first century cannot be effectively addressed by any country or discipline alone. Global public scholarship demands the effective ability of the biophysical and social sciences as well as the humanities to transcend borders and connect individuals and communities across the world to attain common goals and resolve mutual problems. In collaboration with indigenous artists, poets, filmmakers, photographers, and policy makers; Professor Kassam will publicly address topics such as:

  • Climate change and the role of the sacred,

 

  • Cultural genocide in the third millennium,

 

  • Uneven Anthropocene and environmental justice, and

 

  • Contribution of ecological and cultural diversity to food security and peace.
