We’re excited to have Molly Lynch, a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences here at Cornell, join the lab to work on nutrient sensing in filamentous fungi!
News
Filamentous fungal nutrient sensing review!
Check out our recent review on the regulation of nutrient sensing in filamentous fungi: https://rdcu.be/diAbL. Congrats to Josh on the publication!
NIH MIRA
Great news! We just received an NIH MIRA grant to study genetic networks regulating nutrient sensing and metabolism.
Welcome Brandon!
So excited that Brandon Reyes-Chavez has joined the lab! Brandon is a PhD student in Microbiology. Welcome Brandon!
Congrats Josh!
Congrats to Josh who was awarded the Cornell Institute for Host-Microbe Interactions and Disease Postdoctoral Fellowship to work on fungal pathogens!!
Lab Update!
Wow! Lots has happened! Renato Carvalho and Josh Kerkaert both joined the lab as postdocs. Renato is working on the genetic response to fungicides and Josh is working on nutrient sensing and fungal metabolism. We also had an awesome summer REU student, Quincy Dowling, through the Microbial Friends and Foes REU program.
Nitrogen sensing
Check out our new paper examining nitrogen sensing and utilization in filamentous fungi!
We’ve arrived at Cornell!
We’re looking forward to welcoming new lab members who are excited to understand how fungi sense and respond to their environment!
Moving to Cornell!
We’re moving to Cornell in January 2021!
