Thanks to the efforts of a consortium of selectors, the Library has been able to purchase a subscription to the Electronic Enlightenment, the database of 17th, 18th, and 19th century letters distributed by Oxford University Press.  The database consists of almost 60,000 interconnected letters from almost 7,000 correspondents across Europe, the Americas, and Asia.  It should be of use to anyone interested in the development of the “Republic of Letters” in the early modern period.

The resource can be found the library’s catalog under “Electronic Enlightenment,” or can be accessed directly at http://resolver.library.cornell.edu/misc/6993675.
