First time offering: UHT and HTST Combination Course

Cornell Dairy Foods Extension will be offering its first-ever UHT/HTST Operator Combination course on our Ithaca, NY campus July 25-27, 2017.

This course is the first of its kind and offers pasteurizer-specific topics for Ultra-High Temperature Processing. Participants interested in UHT only, may leave after the first full day or opt to stay for the entire course for dual certification. HTST operators will start at noon on the first day or they can attend all three full days for a dual certification. Both workshops will qualify for the NYS Ag. And Mkts. broken seal program.

The “new” UHT portion will include UHT components, instruments, sequence logic, UHT charts, regulatory tests and broken seal requirements. This course is an important value-add for processing plants with this specialized equipment. Both groups will receive instruction on cleaning and sanitizing, recording charts, and dairy microbiology.

The HTST section of course will include HTST equipment design, instrumentation, maintenance of HTST systems, and regulatory testing.

Participants may choose the combination course (both UHT and HTST) or just one section: either UHT or HTST. Register online at http://bit.ly/CornellUHTHTST072017
