Reducing Climate Risk Working Group Events

The Atkinson Center is bringing together Cornell University researchers with NGOs, industry, government agencies, and peer academic institutions in order to transform university discoveries into new practices, products, policies, and opinions that will have real-world impact on reducing CO2 and other greenhouse gas emissions through mitigation, adaptation to climate change, and reducing vulnerability.

Natalie Mahowald, Atkinson Center Faculty Director & the Irving Porter Church Professor of Engineering, lead author of United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s “Special Report on Global Warming of 1.5 degrees Celsius” currently leads this working group.
